Why Should You Have A Cup of Coffee, Everyday?

Mittens Holding CoffeePeople always ask me: "How can you drink coffee everyday? Why do you even do that?" and I can't but say:"She the best friend you could ever have. Whenever you try it you become unable to live without it...." and I always see the same reaction: Laughing.
But a cup of coffee was viewed as an essential part of our everyday life, and here are some reasons why one should have at least a cup of coffee everyday:
Drinking black coffee keeps you  healthy, where according to studies, people who drink four or more cups of coffee have a lower rate of developing liver cancer.
Coffee also keeps you calm where its smell gives you a feeling of relaxation, so if you are stressed because of not getting enough sleep, coffee would make you calm and satisfied.
Coffee simply boosts your mood.

Joumana's Library

I'm really grateful that I had the chance to give help during my life. With my teachers and friends, we worked hard for many days to give the students of Dar Al Hanan a library which is a bridge that allows them to approach the other side of the world..
As teachers, we believe that today's readers are tomorrow's leaders and our job is to enhance their love for reading and encourage them to always keep a book by their side because a book is the best company one could ever have; and that's something that I truly believe in, and I always try to implement it within my students.
The first thing we did was that we started to put what we decided on into practice where we designed, with the help of our instructors, the library: We chose the colors, the desks and the lightning as well. We spent many days classifying and arranging the books that we collected according to the subject and the level. We felt really tired but we really enjoyed it.
We also had the chance during these hours we spent together, to get to know the people there who were amazing and treated us as a part of Dar Al Hanan's family. Even the principal, Ms. Ehsan, acted as if she was one of us and helped us in everything we did. She was really helpful.
After few weeks, we had the opening, and we displayed a video, prepared by one of our friends, that summarized all our work and the joy we had. We finally had "Joumana's Library"... We couldn't find anyone better than Joumana to dedicate this library to. She loved reading more than anything else and always tried to implement such love and passion in her students.
Even though she left us but she is never forgotten, she is always here with us and the library was added to many things that always remind us of her.

Drugs

It starts in many different ways: Some people do it for fun to enjoy the moment; some people do it to run away from stressful situations or while looking for a substitute for something difficult in their life or even out of boredom.
They think they are stronger than drugs and they can stop it whenever they want. Most of the addicts start with pain killers or controlled substance, and they jump from medications to more serious stuff as heroine and cocaine. Nowadays in Lebanon we are facing a serious problem because people can get these controlled substances without prescriptions which makes it easy for people who are vulnerable to addiction. However, despite all the ways it starts with, usually the destination is always the same. it's effects on life can be detrimental: it can range from addiction to death hile passing through a wide variability of scenarios.
For the addicts, sometimes death would be easy than having a stroke and ending up in a vegetative state, living on a breathing machine and a feeding tube through his stomach. This is definitely not the joy the addict was looking for when he got himself on this road!
Lucky is the addict who dies rather than going throughout all that suffering.

An Experience to Remember

It all started in the practicum course when I had to attend a classroom for 40 sessions. I spent good times with grade 7 students of Al Tabari section, and I got the chance to know each one of them which created a positive relationship between us.
They were lovely and interactive; they interacted with me as if I was their teacher since the beginning of the year which made me burst into happiness! After attending 30 sessions, I taught for the first time of my life... It was a dream coming true. I spent the night before planning and preparing my material and the activities related to the lesson that was entitled "Frindle". On the next day, even though my hands were trembling I didn't care and I was so excited for my mission! I prepared the board and got the students seated and fully attentive, ready to be engaged in the new lesson, and that's where my journey began. I was astonished with the students' interaction; they were participating and willing to share their answers with me, and even if they got it wrong they were okay with it and raised their finger over and over .... They just wanted to participate, and that was my best reward!
After I finished explaining and made sure that everyone enjoyed the lesson, I was so happy that my first mission was accomplished! Then I got myself ready for the next lesson "Across the Wide Dark Sea" and decided to make it even better than the first one...
Having the opportunity to observe and teach these sweet students was the best thing that ever happened to me! It was worth it.. It was an experience to remember. <3

Reading

Every time I read a book, I think I'm on a mysterious journey with new people.
I enjoy every single detail in it and I even try to find another chance to read it once again..
Reading has many benefits where it decreases the possibility of having Alzheimer and Dementia because when you rad you are keeping your brain active and therefore it doesn't lose its power.
Reading also reduces stress where it sidetracks you from tension and problems, and keeps you engaged in the present.
Whenever you read you become equipped with enough knowledge that allows you to face any situation that you might face in real life.
Reading can be a source of entertainment, where the reader gets to know more genres and there is always something that captures your curiosity and imagination. Read whenever you are able to!
Reading takes you to an amazing destination, and I guarantee that you would never get bored on the way there!

Love ....

From a young age I wanted to become a teacher however love wasn't something that I planned on, at least for now but life is full of surprises!
Love doesn't wait to knock on your door.. I couldn't take my eyes away of that handsome guy; my heart started fluttering the moment I saw him. Days passed and each day I was sure that he's the one.. He's my prince charming and the love of my life. My emotions for him grew everyday,
Love is the greatest feeling one could ever experience.. Never underestimate the power of love because it is able to change and reshape your world.. It can blow your mind.
Nobody knows his fate. You should have faith and believe that everything happens for a reason and every person crosses your life to reveal something that you weren't aware of.

A Teacher?

When I decided to become an English teacher I was so excited and when people asked me about my major I answered proudly;" A teacher.", but I was surprised with their reaction, "A teacher?!?! Why didn't you choose business or pharmacy or biochemistry? Why a teacher?".
Unfortunately, teaching is looked at as an inferior job where in fact the teacher is the one who helps the architect and the doctor to reach their goals in life. In other words, there wouldn't be a doctor without a teacher so teachers should be appreciated more than that.
As teachers of new generations, we should show our students and all people around that teaching i one the best jobs one could ever have.. You get the chance to know many people and experience lovely moments. Being a teacher is not an easy job, it needs a real big heart to shape little minds.
Yes.. I am a teacher, and I'm proud of it.

Even a child doesn't accept to have a bruised ego.

It has been a while since the semester started, but I learned that as a teacher, a part of my job is to make sure I don't hurt my student's ego. Even though the student sometimes doesn't show that he is hurt but deep down he actually is; he defends himself through different mechanisms which may result in severe issues later on as lack of self confidence, but this doesn't mean that we should hurt his feelings with our words and yell at him as well.
As teachers our job is to build our students' personality and develop their self confidence, teach them how to be themselves and express their opinion especially that we can never find any better achievement other than this throughout our career, and we should always keep in mind that even a child doesn't accept to have a bruised ego.

Blogging

Blogging allows teachers and students to stay in contact with each other. In other words, through blogs we can share what we think of and express it to each other and share our opinions as well.
Blogging can be used effectively in classrooms especially that it can improve students’ writing skills and build their confidence as writers; it also exposes them to the world where they get an idea about others' writing concerning their ideas and points of view, and they also get the chance to see their own writing as something “real”.
We,teachers, can also use the blogs to communicate with our students; so for example we might communicate assignments or use it for any announcement and we can share prompts. By this way, we use "Blogging" to build a community within our classrooms. We can also use blogging to encourage our students to read and the share what they liked the most with all of us on their blogs, or share any article that they find interesting as well.
