Today everything is linked to technology, and if you are not aware of its aspects you would be as if you're disconnected from the world and that's one of our course benefits. Our course serves as a guide for us as teachers where it keeps us up to date and allows us to use different aspects of technology in our teaching.
Our first project was to design our own business card, it was a simple process actually and we got the chance to use Microsoft Publisher and we are now able to introduce ourselves by choosing the design we prefer.
This course also gave us the opportunity to learn how to design a poster that would serve our teaching, so by using a poster we,teachers, get our students' attention and we have them able to visualize what is going on. In addition, we learned how use Google Forms which is really helpful in designing a multiple choice exam, an evaluation form for our students' performance and it works even for a survey.
We also learned what we call "Web quest", this is a way that gives us an opportunity to follow up with our students when assigning them a task. In a web quest we provide our students with a detailed plan that shows them what they are supposed to do and they won't miss any point. Thus, teachers do facilitate the learning process through it.
Finally comes blogging, which is a very good way for communication. A blog allows us to share our thoughts with others so in our classrooms we can share with our students anything we find interesting and have them comment on it, and repeat the same process with one another. Students would feel free to express themselves on their own blog.
